At I Am Organic our aim has always been to produce a top quality British organic wool duvets and bedding. We pride ourselves in being able to source our wool and raw materials in a responsible way. Our organic wool duvets are made from 100% wool

Our range of pure wool duvets are made using wool sourced from Soil Association certified farms in North Wales on the Lleyn Peninsula and near Corwen. In these areas the farmers rear their sheep according to the Soil Association organic practices.

We buy our wool direct from the farmers we know, giving the supplier a higher return on their natural wool than if sold through standard sales channels. The wool is then transported to our wool merchant in Halifax who grades the organic wool and separates out any wool that is unsuitable to be used in organic duvets. The graded wool is then organically scoured (washed) at nearby Dewsbury where the grease and dirt are removed. The clean wool is then taken over to Huddersfield where we have our own production line. Here it is passes through a carding machine (combed out) into layers of fine fluffy fibres before being fed into our quilting machine and sewn into the cotton fabric. This is all done in a 20 mile radius before we bring the quilted material back to North Wales where we have a team of experienced seamstresses that cut the quilt to size and bind the edges to complete the organic bedding process. We control the whole process from ewe to you... making a high quality professional organic duvet.
